We’re getting rid of the vacuum driven AI and DI and replacing them with a pair of Garmin GI275. These can emulate the original instruments but can also offer a wealth of other information. The lower DI replacement can also directly display ILS ‘needles’ making a more precise approach possible.

Lastly, we’re having the power supply to the Hobbs meter wired into the radio supply so it records time that the radios are on, being much closer to ‘brakes off/brakes on’ that we all use for our timings.
